Hello Stencila community!
I am very excited to join Stencila (from April 2018) as the Community Advocate. I will focus on understanding users’ needs to direct further Stencila development, building open source developer community and keeping you all updated on what goes on in Stencila.
Working with Stencila is a fantastic opportunity for me to continue what I have been doing over the past years. I coordinated training for the Software Sustainability Institute in the UK and then for the New Zealand eScience Infrastructure (NeSI). I am also a Software and Data Carpentry certified instructor and have trained other instructors in Europe, South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
I am looking forward to hearing back from you on:
- how would you like to use Stencila;
- your experiences so far with the software;
- your struggles and successes in using software for reproducible research;
- software you use to collaborate with colleagues who use different languages and approaches to research (Python + R + Excel ?);
- and more!
